– Book of Day of Judgment
One day we will have to stand before God.
Key Point – God sees all we do and don’t do. Put your trust in God.
Memory Verse – 2 Chronicles 16:9”The Lord searches all the earth for people who have given themselves completely to him. He wants to make them strong…”
– Trust in God
When we know that He loves us we can always trust Him!
Key Point – When we know that He loves us we can always trust Him!
Memory Verse – Proverbs 3:5 “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding.” (NCV)
Skit – Have a bunch of different people sitting around explaining in what they put their trust some it is money, some it its friends, but they are challenged by a Christian to put their trust in God. They explain that they can see friends and money can not see God how can you trust in something you can’t see. The Christian explains that you can’t see air but we still breathe you can’t see your brain but you still can think. You need to learn how trust God. The people who trusted in money and friends ask how to trust God. The Christian explains that when we trust someone or something we give them everything.
Skit – Not so bright – how do I trust God when I don’t see him. Sort of like Air it is all around us even though we don’t see it. – God shows us that he loves and cares for us we may not see God here on earth but we can see what he has done in people’s lives.
Nahum– Book of God’s patience
Even God’s patience has limits He doesn’t allow sin to go on forever.
Key Point – God is patient but don’t push it!
Memory Verse – Romans 6:1 So do you think we should continue sinning so that God will give us even more grace? No!
Object lesson – God loves us no matter what but if we keep sinning we will stop loving him. MC tells a team member to come up front, the team member starts walking the opposite direction eventually walking out of the room. Explain how God is calling us to himself but it is sin that keeps us away. How if we don’t get rid of sin we will push God further and further from our lives. God is patient but don’t push it!
– Book of Loneliness
What to do when you feel alone.
Key Point – God is always with us!
Memory Verse – Heb. 13:5 “I will never leave you; I will never forget you.” (NCV)
Skit – To have friends you must be friendly shy kid gets mad at God but he won’t talk to anyone. – Show a kid at school with other kids coming up to the shy kid. The shy kid doesn’t even smile as many kids come up being friendly the kid ignores them and is even somewhat rude after everyone leaves the boy prays and asks God why he is all alone. MC comes out and
Skit – With out God you are always alone – have a boy with lots of friend go home and cry because he feels all alone until another kid leads him to Christ.-
Have a boy who is popular lots of friends all laughing joking around. All of a sudden the popular kid starts crying all his “friends” make up reasons why they have to leave. The kid is left alone, and a Christian kid sees him crying and explains that he needs to ask Jesus into his life. If we have Jesus in our life we are never truly alone. He tells us in the Bible that he is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
Book of Repentance
What is Repentance- How to tell God your sorry
Key Point – Repentance means change!
Memory Verse – 2 Corinthians 7:10 “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation…”
Skit – Kids playing with kickball one kid hit another says he’s sorry doesn’t mean is another kid does the same but apologizes and means it. Difference is in their attitude. – Through this skit convey to the kids that you can say something but unless you truly mean it, what you say is just words. We can say the words with our mouth but unless we mean it with our heart it is not true repentance, because God sees our hearts. When we say we are sorry to God and to each other it must come from our heart. If we are truly sorry and it comes from our heart our actions will change we will not do the same thing over and over again.
