Luke 19:2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.
How do you know when someone is sorry? Repentance is more than to say you are sorry it is to change the way you act. We know because they change. The Bible explains in Romans How to repent(say we are sorry). Rom. 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom. 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Confess with your mouth – Acknowledge what you have done wrong.
Ask for Forgiveness
Change don’t stay the same – Believe in your heart that you are changed
Salvation is a free gift. God’s gracious gift toward you produces a change in your life. Zacchaeus Repentance was a byproduct of the grace shown to him that he didn’t deserve.
