We are doing our baby dedication service next Saturday. It is always such a joy and privilege to share this special moment with the families of our church. At every Baby Dedication service we give each child a Jesus Storybook Bible it is the best gift you can give any young family. Kids and adults alike need to understand the gospel. I know of no other book that explains the totally of scripture and the purpose behind the bible in a such a simple and profound way as the Jesus Storybook Bible does. If you do baby dedications I beg you to give this to every family. They will be better for it.
Below is the letter I enclose for every parent.

Funerals are mandatory weddings are optional. – Mayor Giuliani
I read this 12 years ago and have never forgotten it. It comes from Mayor Giuliani’s book on leadership. Up until that point I had avoided funerals. Funerals are difficult. It isn’t easy to be confronted with your own mortality on a regular basis. Rudy Giuliani’s quote is actually a restatement of Ecclesiastes 7:2-4
2 Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties.
After all, everyone dies—
so the living should take this to heart.
3 Sorrow is better than laughter,
for sadness has a refining influence on us.
4 A wise person thinks a lot about death,
while a fool thinks only about having a good time.

I don’t know if my recipe is best but I will share it with you in hopes that it will help you create your own version.
4 Tips to keep you blogging consistently:
Luke – Book of Salvation
Key Point – Jesus came for everyone
Memory Verse – Luke 1:77 “77 You will make his people know that they will be saved by having their sins forgiven.”
Bible Story – Acts 9 – Story of Paul getting saved.
