Sam graduated from Portland Bible College in 1997 with a BA in Theology and has served at Redeemer Church in Utica, New York, for over two decades, currently as the Executive Pastor of Ministries. He holds two MA degrees from Knox Theological Seminary in Biblical and Theological Studies and Christian and Classical Studies. Sam is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Western Theological Seminary.
He is the co-author of two books and has been a pastor and sought-after conference speaker for the past 27 years. He has also been a blogger since 2007. Sam is passionate about the transformative power of the Gospel and mentoring the next generation of disciple-makers.
Sam and his wife have been married for 26 years and have four children. Together, they live in Upstate New York, where Sam enjoys reading, baseball, writing, and spending time with his family.

The church needs to be more like Mister Rogers and less like Disney.
