Here is a Post I did a while back that ties into my post from yesterday.

The 10 Commandments of online safety for kids.

  1. Thou shalt put the computer in a very public place
  2. Remember thy password and keep it holy
  3. Know thy children’s friends, buddies
  4. Remember thy monitoring software and keep it active
  5. Thou Shalt not allow thy children to post any graven images (photos) without thy permission
  6. Thou shalt not allow any contact information to ever be given out
  7. Thou shalt forbid any meeting in person with online buddies
  8. Remember to check thy child’s history
  9. Though shalt create a separate log in for each child (on a mac, on those other computers)
  10. Thou shalt not close your eyes and hope for the best

    Great stuff Sam. Finally, someone who uses a common sense approach to a very difficult problem in the home today. Keep up the great work!

  2. This is really great resources. Far too many parents expect "their child" to be the exception to the rule when in reality Satan is actively engaged in our culture and is eager to short-circuit our children at very young ages. Parent's need to be smart…be proactive… and be confident that 1 John 4:4 is true:

    "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
