Since the Holy Spirit's work thru us as leaders is absolutely vital for effectiveness, regardless of our training and abilities, why deprive our kids of the key vital element for effectiveness in their lives? Paul, in spite of being trained by the top religious leaders and having excelled beyond all his peers, could not be effective without the work of the Spirit thru him. 1Cor.2:4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, Thanks, Sam, for the much needed reminder to the #kidmin community! There seems to be a resurgence in recognizing the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives... thankfully it's a more balanced view than before. One great resource that we've used at our church is Mark Batterson's Wild Goose Chase book. We did a series on it with the adults and kids. I think it does a good job of highlighting the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Some more great thoughts, Sam!
