Here is a little program I found called vector magic http://vectormagic.com/home turns any picture into a vector file recently this little program saved me quite a few hours of tracing in Illistrator.
It doesn’t work for everything but for what it does work for it is brilliant.

I likey the program, but not so likey the pricey
Depends. It saved me around 5-6 hours of tracing stuff by hand. So the price was worth what I saved in time.
